Angelina Jolie, 43, and Brad Pitt, 54, have been unable to reach an agreement on the custody of their six children. Breaking from the increasingly friendly pattern of co-parenting in Hollywood (see Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan), the estranged stars are headed to court to duke it out.
The trial date has been set for December 4th, according to multiple reports. People magazine is also reporting that a trial date has been set, but it cites sources who claim the pair hope to come to an out-of-court settlement, and are just using the December 4th date as a worst-case-scenario. When Jolie filed for divorce, she requested physical custody. In November of 2016, Pitt requested joint legal and physical custody.
Since then, they have been openly feuding. In August, Jolie filed documents claiming Pitt had not paid “meaningful” child support, and Pitt fired back, claiming he’d loaned Jolie $8 million to buy her home and shelled out $1.3 million in bills for her and the kids.
