Kanye West‘s family is very concerned for the rapper — but doesn’t know what to do or how to help him.
During a meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday, West — who avidly supports and voted for the president in the 2016 election — claimed during a lengthy, televised discussion that he was “misdiagnosed” with bipolar disorder. (The rapper, 41, also recently revealed that he is “off medication” he had previously been taking to treat the disorder.)
According to a source close to West, people in his inner circle “are telling him that he needs to get back on his medication, that he’s not doing well, that he’s not making any sense.”
“Now he’s in the Oval Office, and he’s doing the same rant, and that’s going to validate his rants,” shares the source.
While family and close friends want to support the father of three, they don’t feel that they’re able to get through to him — in part because of POTUS’ validation.
“No one close to him can tell him that he’s sounding unhinged,” says the source, “because his answer is that the President of the United States doesn’t think so.”
Although the Kardashians have been an unwavering support system to him, the source says that “the entire family is at the end of their ropes, and stuff like this won’t help.”
“They’re trying to help him get things where they should be, and it’s going to be that much harder now,” the source adds. “It’s a sad day.”
Months after telling the world that he suffered from bipolar disorder — and even referencing it on the cover his latest album, Ye, back in June — Kanye West has said that he was “misdiagnosed” with the condition. The revelation came during a bizarre meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday afternoon.
“What I think is we don’t need sentences, we need pardons. We need to talk to people. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I was connected with a neuropsychologist that works with the athletes in the NBA and NFL. He looked at my brain,” he began.
After saying that he had a “98 percentile IQ test,” West, 41, went on to state that the doctor told him “I wasn’t actually bipolar, I had sleep deprivation which can cause dementia 10 to 20 years from now when I wouldn’t even remember my son’s name.”
Kanye West keeps it simple when it comes to his password.
The rapper joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday, and in front of the press pool launched into a nearly 30-minute diatribe about racism, employment and the benefits of meditation.
He also revealed his iPhone password when he went to show President Trump a photo of the hydrogen-powered plane his is working on with Apple on his device, quickly typing in ‘00000).’
t was just one of the many jaw-dropping moments to take place on Thursday, with West also surprising those in attendance when he dropped the words ‘bulls***’ and ‘motherf***er’ during the meeting, which was being broadcast live on a number of networks.
West spoke about American industry and the need to bring back jobs at one point, while wearing a pair of $295 boots from his Yeezy line that are made in China and Italy.
