With the huge success of Sweetener, fans have been waiting for news of an Ariana Grande tour. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait longer.
When a fan account posted a meme about saving money for her next tour’s meet & greet on Instagram, Grande commented saying “u gonna be saving for a loooooooooooooong time ……” The comment has since been deleted.
The singer is still healing from losing her ex and beloved friend Mac Miller, who passed away earlier this month from an apparent drug overdose.
A statement given by her team to People magazine says that Grande will be taking time for herself as she deal with the painful loss.
“Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much-needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding,” the statement reads.
Besides grieving the loss of Miller, Grande has been vocal about struggling with PTSD caused by the terrorist attack at her Manchester show during her Dangerous Woman Tour last year. Even though fans won’t get to see Grande on tour soon, she assured fans “everything will be okay” in a tweet, expressing her appreciation for their support.
