John Mayer is the latest celebrity whose home has been invaded by burglars. According to reports, the 40-year-old musician’s home was broken into on Friday morning in Beverly Hills. Police say that the intruder got inside by smashing a bedroom window while no one was home. It’s unclear if his alarm was on. The home was “ransacked” and the burglars got away with between $100,000 and $200,000 worth of his property. Items taken included music equipment and watches from his enormous and valuable collection. There are no suspects at this time. Mayer purchased the property for $13.5 million from pal Adam Levine three months ago. The 7,100-square-foot home, which Levine renovated, was built in 1940 and features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a living room, great room, media room, den and gym as well as a two-story garage, tennis court and swimming pool. Levine paid $4.83 million for the same home in 2012.
