According to British tabloid The Sun, Adele has started working on the followup to 25. “She’s back in the UK and intends to write here,” a source told the newspaper. “A number of studio musicians have been approached to work with her and she’s already penned some of the songs.”
The Brit is apparently aiming to release the album just before Christmas, 2019. Given that all of the diva’s previous albums have been named after her age at the start of the recording process, it could well be called 30.
Needless to say, expectations for Adele’s next album will be sky high. After all, 21 and 25 have sold more than 50 million copies worldwide between them. And that’s without streaming figures taken into consideration. Not only that, but both albums have been rewarded with Grammys for Album Of The Year.
