Hatchet, buried. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is shedding more light on his long-running feud with The Fate of the Furious costar Vin Diesel. In a Rolling Stone interview, the 45-year-old claims the beef boiled down to a disagreement about professionalism. “Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” he said. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.” He continued: “But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.” Johnson also spoke on his depression following his 2007 divorce. “Around 2008, 2009, I was going through a lot of personal s— that was really f—– me up,” he said. “I was just struggling, man. Struggling to figure out what kind of dad am I gonna be. Realizing I’d done a piss-poor job of cultivating relationships, and a lot of my friends had fallen by the wayside. I was just scared.”
