In the wake of his split from Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux has canceled his Tuesday night appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. According to Entertainment Tonight, comedian Chris Gethard is now the main guest, along with originally scheduled guest Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and musical act Portugal the Man. Theroux was going on Colbert to promote two Netflix projects, Maniac and Mute. He and Aniston announced their separation last week.
Justin Theroux reportedly had second thoughts about marrying Jennifer Aniston before they ever walked down the aisle. “Justin was absolutely head over heels in love with Jen–and probably always will be–but marriage was never important to him,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Marriage was always just a piece of paper to Justin, and he didn’t need it.” But Aniston apparently did. “Constant scrutiny of Jen’s personal life, including whether she would ever find her happily ever after, played a huge role in her marriage to Justin,” the insider explains. “It was obvious Jen needed more than an engagement or to be life partners with Justin. He didn’t want to lose her, so they got married.” Ultimately, things didn’t work out: The couple announced last Thursday that they were spitting after just two years of marriage. They were together overall for seven years.
Matt LeBlanc has admitted that he hasn’t spoken to his former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston about her recent split from Justin Theroux. “I haven’t spoken to Jennifer about it but I’m sure she’s doing OK right now,” he tells the Sun. “She’s a big girl.” LeBlanc appeared in Friends with Aniston for 10 seasons.
